Facility and Capabilities

PMW Aero’s state-of-the-art facility was designed specifically to capitalize on advanced machining technologies to meet our customers’ needs for complex geometry, tight tolerance parts made of hard metals and exotic alloys. With capabilities of both low and high-volume production, we apply automation technologies where appropriate to achieve both higher quality and optimal efficiencies.

PMW Aero Factory

PMW Aero has extensive complex machining capabilities. The majority of our equipment is less than two years old, including:

  • 8 DMG Mori 5-Axis Vertical Mills

  • 4 DMG Mori 5-Axis Vertical Mill-Turn Machines

  • 21 additional Mori Seiki, Doosan, and other 4-axis CNC centers and pallet systems

  • 5 Zeiss CMMs

Integrated Assembly

PMW Aero provides value-added assembly services to complement the Company’s advanced machining solutions.

Engineering

PMW Aero’s engineering capabilities leverage the latest, most advanced software to provide innovative solutions to complex manufacturing and design challenges. We utilize the following CAD/CAM software: 

 

  • Siemens NX

  • Esprit TNG with full simulation

  • SOLIDWORKS

 

We have in-house capability to perform NC programming and tool design for complex hard metal projects and high-speed machining. Our engineering team has over 100 years of combined experience in precision machining. With deep expertise in machining and advanced tooling and process design, we reduce cost and improve efficiencies in the manufacturing process.

 

As an extension of our in-house engineering, PMW Aero strategically partners with Axius Group, allowing added surge capacity and broader redundancy of expertise. Axius’ services include multi-axis, complex CNC programming, drafting, tool design/stress testing, DER/STC engineering support, and full program management, all in an IT infrastructure conforming to CMMC Level 4 requirements in a remote environment.

Manufacturing

PMW Aero’s best-in-class manufacturing operation delivers difficult to manufacture components and assemblies. Our leading edge facility hosts an an array of DMG Mori equipment types such as the DMU 65FD, DMU 65, DMU 75, DMC 80 FD with Pallet System, and DMC 85 with R3 Pallet System. From turning to milling with 5-axis equipment, we use cutting-edge technology for production and blue streak requirements. Our key capabilities include:
